The second ODI between India and Australia in Nagpur proved to be a humdinger as the match went down to the wire and was only won in the last over. The match had everything that a fan can ask for. India batted first after Finch chose to chase after winning the toss and the pitch proved to be difficult to bat on.

It was only due to the brilliance of Virat Kohli (116) and Vijay Shankar (46) with the bat that India managed to put up 250 runs on the board. Pat Cummins picked four wickets for Australia. In the chase, Australia started off well with both openers making it past 30, but then the Indian bowlers came back with vengeance and picked wickets to help the team make a comeback.

Bumrah picked two wickets in the 46th over to bring India back, after Kuldeep had picked 3/54. In the final over, with 10 to defend, Vijay Shankar removed Stoinis on the first ball and then bowled Zampa to seal the game by 8 runs.

Fan breaches security and chases Dhoni

When MS Dhoni and team were repapering to defend their modest total in Nagpur ODI, a young fan breached security and went straight to MS Dhoni. Despite the presence of Virat, Rohit and others, this fan, who was wearing a Thala shirt, wanted to meet MS Dhoni and the ever-witty Dhoni dodged the Indian players in the process and finally letting the fan shake his hands near the pitch. The fan touched Dhoni’s feet and Dhoni gave him a warm hug before security escorted him out of the field and the match continued.

Aakash Chopra mad at security for letting fan near players

Former India batsman and cricket pundit Aakash Chopra was enraged with such type of blatant security breach and felt that such incidents put the players’ security in question. MS Dhoni might have enjoyed the tussle with the fan before giving him a hug, but Chopra certainly didn’t enjoy that a fan reached so close to the Indian team on the field.

Chopra took to Twitter and mentioned that such events are happening too frequently and blamed it all on the security personnel. He tweeted, “Serious lapse in security. How was he not even chased by the guards??? Happening too often”

Here is Chopra’s tweet

Twitterati troll Chopra for his words

However, the fans on Twitter were not amused by Chopra’s anger on the security lapse. They decided to troll Chopra and one account even asked whether any fans ever chased him?
