South African batting mainstay AB de Villiers has become a proud father of his second child. De Villiers was blessed with a baby boy again on July 17. He took to his official social media handle to break out the news to his fans and the well wishers. In his Instagram post, AB de Villiers shared a family picture that has his elder son, his wife Danielle de Villiers, and the new born baby.

AB has named his new born baby as John Richard de Villiers. He also conceded that both child and the mother are in good health after the successful delivery. AB had a special word of praise for his wife, Danielle, wherein he commended the immense courage and strength that she showed during this phase. The picture that ABD shared had the perfect words to start off the caption.

“Now we are 4! Praise the Lord for this amazing blessing in our lives. John Richard de Villiers was born at 11am on Monday the 17th and both Danielle and John are safe at home. My wife is the most amazing woman and once again showed incredible courage and strength through all of this,” wrote AB de Villiers.

Blessed with second child

Earlier in the month of July in 2015, AB de Villiers had become a proud parent when he was blessed with his first son. He named his first son after the same initials that he has. Back then, he had shared similar emotions when he had disclosed the news to the media and his fans.

Talking about the on-field commitments, AB is not with the national side at the moment. Team South Africa is in England for the 4-match Test series. The series stands leveled at 1-1 at the moment. AB is not a part of the Test squad that is there on the tour. His next assignment will most likely be against Bangladesh.
