AB de Villiers & Co. greeted gracefully like champions by fans back home: The South African cricket team like always started the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 as one of the favorites to lift the cup; we all knew it was just a matter of overcoming the mental barrier before the team from being termed champions rise on and become crowned champions. But the semi final contest against co-hosts New Zealand proved a stiffer task for AB de Villiers and his men and thus they bowed out of the championship race.

We all saw the skipper and his team all get not only physically but emotionally drained after the semi-finals. It is turmoil for the players to get over a loss which hit them when they were inches away from Glory. But as these are professional cricketers and mentally trained lot, though it will take time to sink the feeling down and move on but they will gradually overcome it.

What helps in such situations is the backing they receive from people who matter, it’s not always about the team management or the fans, but depends on how their fans, the loyal people who spend not only money but their time and energy to cheer the XI men on the field.

So when the South African team landed at home, they were received not with disappointment of having lost the semi finals and coming without the cup; but with warmth, grace and composure. This is what they need, your support, ask for a picture, share a hug make them feel your relation (the player- fan) doesn’t depend on the trophies but the way they carry about the game.

Here are some melting pictures, will surely send a message to fans around the globe to learn from them the best way to greet the hurt warriors.
