Match Details:

The Group B match of the ACC Under-19s Asia Cup 2019 will be played between United Arab Emirates (UAE) Under-19s and Nepal Under-19s at the Mercantile Cricket Association Ground in Colombo.

The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (4:00 AM GMT) (9:30 AM IST).

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Under-19s and Nepal Under-19s might have been the lower-ranked sides but the expectations over them were quite high. The two sides entered the tournament after finishing in top two of the Qualifier event. The two sides were inseparable on strengths as the game between these two during the Qualifiers resulted in a UAE win by 1 run due to the DLS method.

Despite losing both their matches to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, both the teams have been impressive in different phases against them. The last match of both teams proves their decent performances. Nepal took four wickets of Bangladesh with more than 100 runs to get at seven runs an over before a record 5th wicket stand saved Bangladesh. The UAE team batted well to score 274 in reply to the home team’s total of 326/8 on Sunday.

Weather Condition/Report:

Colombo could be under clouds on Tuesday which might not stop any play in the Nepal-UAE match. Showers are expected throughout the day but the chances of them coming down raise only after 5 PM.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Mercantile Cricket Association Ground has witnessed scores around 230 in One-Day matches. During the game between Bangladesh and Nepal a couple of days ago, the scores of 260+ have been recorded. This UAE-Nepal match will be last of this tournament here. Any score over 240 can be expected in this match.
