Acting President of BCCI foresees a 'Golden Period' of Indian Cricket ahead

After the much-hyped announcement of the new Indian Head Coach, C.K. Khanna, the acting President of BCCI, foresees a ‘Golden Period’ for Indian Cricket. Khanna lauded the CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) for making a very good decision by appointing three new coaches for the Indian Cricket team. The CAC earlier announced that Ravi Shastri, who previously had a couple of stints with the Indian Cricket as Time Director, as the Head coach of Indian Cricket team.
Furthermore, the Indian bowling department will be handled Zaheer Khan, who featured in the West Indian tour as a commentator. Rahul Dravid was appointed as the overseas tour Batting consultant. Currently, Dravid’s coaching the India ‘A’ team, and the U-19 Team. He was also the coach of the Delhi Daredevils for the last couple of years after Rajasthan Royals were relegated from the Indian Premier League.

The announcement of the new Indian Coach was scheduled to be held on 10th July. But Sourav Ganguly in a press conference made it clear that they would want to take some time and consult Indian skipper Virat Kohli. But the very next day reports emerged about Ravi Shastri been chosen as the Indian Head Coach. Though BCCI rubbished any such news, later at night tweeted about the latest development,
“I want to congratulate the CAC members, they have taken a very good decision, it was taken in a timely manner. The CAC was working for few months on this issue and they met the captain. Yesterday night, they sent the communication to us. I foresee a golden period for Indian cricket ahead,” commented the acting President of the BCCI according to ANI. The other members included in the decision were VVS Laxman, Amitabh Choudhary and Sachin Tendulkar. Shastri went on to overhaul the likes of Moody, Simmons, Sehwag, Pybus and Lalchand Rajput.
