Adam Gilchrist coming to India to meet PM Modi

Adam Gilchrist the former Australia wicket-keeper batsman is expected to be coming to India in a week or so for a formal meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi who is in Japan at the moment will also be returning back home in a day and thus the visit is planned for the next week.
Gilchrist who is not a politician though but has shown keen interest in public and social welfare activities in Australia and around the world since he retired from international cricket. He was and till now is regarded as one of the best wicket-keepers in world cricket.
Gilly has scored 5570 runs for Australia in tests, 9619 ODI runs has represented his team in 96 tests and 287 limited overs matches.

He is among the rare names in cricket who has equal if not more fans in other countries as well. Enjoyed enormous love and backing by fans when he represented Deccan Chargers first and then the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian domestic T20 league IPL. He is also expected to be coming to India in company of Australian Prime Minister Tony Blair in a few weeks. Blair will be in India to meet his Indian counterpart work down deals and treaties on few key issues which interest both India and Australia.
Gilchrist had already shown his regards India by tweeting congratulating message on 15th August, India’s independence day. It will be interesting to see how upcoming weeks pan out. His fans will get to see a more strategic, diplomatic and a new political side of Gilly.
