Angad Bedi planning to write and direct documentary on father Bishen Singh Bedi
The film/documentary will have many video footage which means, it might follow the grounds of Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic.

Bishan Singh Bedi was an integral part of Indian spin bowling department who served the national team for 15 long years where he represented them in over 70 matches both at Test and ODI level. He even got an opportunity to captain Indian team for 22 International matches. The legend has always been vocal about his opinion, he has never minced words and calls a spade a spade.

Bedi Jr, actor Angad Bedi, who has emerged as a promising young talent in the Indian film industry has decided to make a film on his father’s journey. Angad was first seen on the big screen when he did his first film with prolific choreographer and director, Remo D’Souza in 2011 titled F.A.L.T.U. After a rather cold pursual in the industry, Angad made a mark with his presence in Amitabh Bachchan in a blockbuster film, Pink which won hearts of populous.
Now with his career back on track, the youngster is now eager to get behind the lens as he is now planning to write as well as direct a documentary on the journey of his father.
Inspiring cricketing journey
As per Mumbai Mirror, the movie is all set to hit the theatres as early as possible and will be tentatively named ‘Bish’. “I love sports and look up to all the icons our country has produced. Fortunately, I was born to one of them. Now, I want to share his inspiring cricketing journey with everyone. My father has always been opinionated, called a spade a spade, and has dedicatedly worked towards the betterment of the game. I want everyone to know about his passion for it,” Angad said.
“This film will explore his father’s journey as a sportsman and throw light on the lesser-known areas of his life. It will bring forth the relationship Bedi shared with his contemporaries and cricketing legends like Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sunil Gavaskar. The film will also look at the father-son relationship of the Bedis,” the actor added.
He concluded by saying that the film/documentary will have many video footage which means, it might follow the grounds of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic.
