Cricket is no less than a religion in India and the players are worshipped like God by their fans all over the country. But it is a fact that the other sports are ignored in the country despite a lot of talented athletes give their best efforts in order to bring laurels to the country. The Indian Football is one of them who has never got the deserved fan following despite showing promising signs in the recent past. However, Suresh Raina has urged the fans now to support the team when they will play in Mumbai next week.

The captain of the Indian team Sunil Chhetri posted an emotional video on Twitter on Saturday and requested all the fans to support them when they will play in Mumbai. He mentioned that it is the crucial time in the history of the Indian Football and they need the backing of the fans much like the way they support the European clubs.

Even Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, urged the nation then to come out and root for the Football team by posting a video on Twitter. He highlighted that all the sports must be given an equal importance if India wants to be called as a sporting nation.
