MS Dhoni has been one among the list of fittest players in modern-day cricket. He raises the bar whenever he steps on the field. Also in adverse circumstances, he always manages to maintain composure in the team. He always backed his boys even in intense on-field situations. There are only very few who are staying in present as successful as he is and he is arguably the most successful among them.

Dhoni’s journey in international cricket started with fighting for a place in the Indian outfit. He faced stiff competition from Parthiv Patel and Dinesh Karthik back then. Today both Parthiv and Karthik believe Dhoni was always the better man to be picked into the side at that time.

Dhoni for years has been advised to retire and people always doubt his credibility. But the great man has always replied with his brilliant game on the cricket field. Now also, people are doubting his finishing skills and his form but with IPL around the corner, the great man will have good answers ready for his critics.

Suresh Raina hails Dhoni’s tough approach

Suresh Raina, while speaking to The Times of India, complimented Dhoni by saying that, he is a natural athlete and also insisted that the CSK skipper is still the driving force for the team.

“Age does matter but with Dhoni it’s different. He is a natural athlete and I know what his power is. You can’t hit a six when the ball is coming at 140-150 kmph without such fitness. He has that tough approach to his game and does everything with passion and supreme planning. He will always be our driving force,” Raina said.

The progression of Dhoni from the carefree antics of a small-town youngster to the greatest finisher of all times is an inspiration for many in the cricketing world. The admirers of the legend believe that he still has a lot more left to offer to the game and his greatness can never be written off.

Meanwhile, UAE is set to host IPL 2020 from 19th September to 10th November. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah are the cities entitled to host all the matches of the cash-rich league this year.
