Ajinkya Rahane has some special birthday wishes for his Mumbai teammate Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has been a household name in Indian cricket for the past decade. Hailing from Mumbai, it didn’t take Rohit much time to create an enigma in the domestic ranks. He was always in the limelight even while representing Mumbai in Ranji Trophy and other such tournaments.

As he turned 31 today, his former Mumbai teammate and current Indian teammate Ajinkya Rahane took to Twitter to wish him. Both have shared a great rapport whether it is on or off the cricketing field. While Rohit captains Mumbai Indians, Rahane is the skipper of the Rajasthan franchise.

The right hander holds the record of scoring three double centuries in international cricket. The RR captain also shared a picture of both cricketers alongside an amazing caption to describe Rohit has known to be an extraordinary power hitter when in full flow.

While Rajasthan Royals have been doing well in the tournament, Mumbai Indians too have shown signs of a possible fightback. They ’ve known to be slow starters every year and it’s always the business end of the tournament where they come all guns blazing which has also been the case this year.

Rohit Sharma’s form with the bat has also been good but he would be raring to do even better. He has already led the team to the IPL title thrice as they hold the tag of the defending champions. It would be interesting to see how far Mumbai go this time around.

As for the Rajasthan Royals, they’ve been coming after a gap of two years. Hence, they will be looking forward to making a mark in this year’s IPL. So far they’ve been topsy turvy in the tournament but managed to keep a hold of things.
