The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is underway in full glory and glamour in UAE. Along with flaunting class on the field, players leave no chance unturned to have light moments off the field. The celebrations become all the more special when it is a player’s birthday. The same thing recently happened in the KKR squad, where batsman Rinku Singh celebrated his 23rd birthday on 12th October. Jassym Lora, the wife of KKR star, Andre Russell, wished him in a very adorable manner.

Singh celebrated his big day with KKR teammates around in UAE. While Russell was very much there in the party, his wife, Jassym, wasn’t there due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, she attended games of KKR regularly in India. However, the Caribbean star made sure that his wife wished her best friend on his special day. Russell called her, and she wished Singh in a special manner, and she also talked to the likes of Nitish Rana and Kamlesh Nagarkoti.

The 23-year-old batsman was not able to understand first who was on call but as soon as he realised, he immediately said- “hi Jass.” His quick reaction left others in splits, including Russell. What made this entire thing special was Jassym’s Instagram story, where she posted this video and named batsman as “my bestie.”

KKR struggling a bit in IPL 2020

Rinku Singh is yet to mark his debut in the ongoing IPL and would be hoping to get some games alongside KKR this year. Talking about KKR’s journey, they are currently at 4th position in the points table after winning four games out of the total seven played. However, their last outing against RCB turned out to be terrible as they lost the game by 82 runs.

Batting first, RCB batsmen posted a huge 194/2 on the board, and AB de Villiers stole all the limelight. He played a thunderous knock of 73* runs off 33 balls and propelled the team’s score. He was named the player of the match. In return, KKR could only manage 112 runs as their entire batting line-up crumbled under pressure, and only Shubman Gill got some runs under his belt.
