Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was an outright entertainer on the cricket field smashing some of the best bowlers in international cricket at his will. He is a retired man now but continues to carry the smashing attitude. On the cricket field, he would force the bowlers to err in line and them punish them and now that he has become a sensation on Twitter among cricket fans wants people to err with their words to put them down.

He has almost made it mandatory now to tweet about anything and everything that grabs public interest and isn’t restricted to expressing his views on cricket. That he does when in the commentary box. Sehwag also keeps an eye on what others are saying just to take an entertaining dig at them, to troll them or to even given them a facts check.

Indian head coach Anil Kumble who was Sehwag’s former teammate seems to be one of those who follows his tweets. After the conclusion of the second Test between India and New Zealand at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata that team India won by a comprehensive margin of a 178 runs to seal the series 2-0 while interacting with the media in the post-match press conference Kumble said among the cricketers Sehwag is the best as far as using the 140 characters available to express views on Twitter is concerned.

“Credit to BCCI that we are playing 13 Test matches at home. And in new centres, where people will want to be involved in Test cricket. At the same time, like I mentioned, it will be a great tool for digital marketing. Viru is the best amongst (all of us) on this stage with 140 characters but all I can say is in this digital era, it’s a great platform to promote Test cricket,” said Kumble.
