Anushka Sharma accompanies Virat Kohli as Team India leaves for South Africa

The newlywed couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are set to spend the New Year’s Eve together in South Africa. The wedding season for the Indian cricketers finally came to an end as they embarked on the gruelling tour where they will play 3 Tests, six ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals. The tour will commence on January 5 in Cape Town as India will take on Proteas in the first of the three-match Test series.

Anushka was spotted along with her husband and the captain of the Indian team Virat Kohli at Mumbai airport. While the 29-year-old was sporting a casual look in the tracksuit of Team India, his wife was looking absolutely gorgeous in a black and white jumpsuit and black jacket. The adorable couple got hitched on December 11 earlier this month in Italy at a scenic venue in Tuscany post which they hosted a couple of receptions on December 21 in Delhi and on the 26th of the same month in Mumbai.

U19 team also leaves for New Zealand

At the same time, when Virat Kohli and Co. were scheduled to depart for South Africa, the U19 Indian team led by Prithvi Shaw were spotted at the airport. The young cricketers of the country are all set to feature in their first World event and left for New Zealand where the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup will be played. The tournament is all set to commence from January 13. Rahul Dravid is the coach of the team and is expected come back from the tournament with flying colours.

The captain of the team Prithvi Shaw is being highly rated by the cricket experts and even Virat Kohli is excited to see him play. He looked in great touch during the Ranji season and played with aggression at the top of the order. Dravid had asked Virat to speak to him before leaving and he must have surely spoken to the youngster encouraging him to do well. Virat himself was the captain when India had won the tournament.
