Ever since Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian captain Virat Kohli hooked up, the couple has been hogging a lot of limelight. There were a lot of Indian cricketers who patched up with Bollywood celebrities like Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore in the past, but not many received the attention and craze as these both did.

Both Anushka and Virat have been doing excellently in their respective professions. After staying a little reserved when it came to talking about their relationship, both of them have openly accepted their love for each other on social media and attended various events together. Many rumors have emerged previously about their wedding at the end of this year, but these were all hypothetical.

There is no truth in the rumors

But a newspaper in October quoted that the couple will tie get together in the holy bonds of matrimony in the second week of December. It was said that there will be a grand wedding in Milan between December 11-13. The rumors took legs and spread like wildfire when Kohli was rested for the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka.

But much to the disappointment of all the “Virushka” fans, Anushka Sharma’s spokesperson, whose identity remains anonymous, has confirmed that these reports are false. “There is absolutely no truth to it (rumors of marriage),” Anushka’s spokesperson told PTI.

Anushka Sharma has been busy with her shootings off-late and with her spokesperson rubbishing the rumors, it’s evident that Kohli was rested for the series only to ensure there ain’t too much workload on the 29-year-old before the highly important South Africa tour commences next year.

The Indian skipper has had a record-breaking 2017, which finished on a grandiose note. He scored two double-tons against the Sri Lankans in the Test series which concluded today and amassed a staggering 2,818 runs in the entire year, which left the entire cricketing world bamboozled.
