APL 2018: Day Seven, Round-up – Statistical Highlights
All the major stats and numbers that were recorded during the two thrilling matches on Friday.

The seventh day of the APL T20 witnessed two matches going down the wire with the batting first teams coming over the top on both instances. Kandahar Knights continued their losing streak as they failed to chase down 127 against Paktia Panthers. They needed 14 from last two overs to win the game but lost their remaining three wickets for just three runs.
In the second game, Nangarhar Leopards brought an end to their three-match losing streak as they were successful in defending their total of 182/5. The Kabul Zwanan were cruising at 80/0 in the 7th over but managed to add only 87 more runs by batting out the overs.
All the major stats and numbers that were recorded during the two thrilling matches on Friday:
1/38 – Rashid Khan conceded 38 runs in his four overs including 15 in the first over in the game against Nangarhar. The Kabul skipper conceded only 37 in the previous game against Kandahar. In the 15 T20 matches Rashid played in the UAE prior to these two matches, he never gave away more than 28 runs.
13 – Runs Laurie Evans has scored against Nangarhar. In the 19 T20 innings in 2018, Evans has failed to score over 35 only on six occasions including the 5* in the previous game against the same side.
18 – Colin Ingram has scored only 18 runs in the four outings in this tournament. His scores in APL 2018 read 9, 1, 4 and 4. This is the first time Ingram has been dismissed for single digits in four consecutive innings in the Twenty20 format.
21 – Shahid Afridi now has been dismissed for a duck on 21 occasions in Twenty20 cricket. He is one of the 11 players with 21 and more ducks in this format. Among Pakistan players, only Umar Akmal (24) and Kamran Akmal (22) have been dismissed for zero more often in the T20 format than Afridi.
11 – Number of times Shahid Afridi has been dismissed for a duck in the UAE across all formats. These are the most number of ducks for any player in professional cricket in the UAE.
200 – Riki Wessels bagged a duck in his 200th appearance in the Twenty20 format. The keeper-batsman from England has scored 4735 runs at an average of 29.22 in his T20 career with a century and 22 fifties.
219 – Runs Anton Devcich scored in his last three innings. The New Zealander scored 94*, 48 and 77 in his last three outings in this tournament. This is the first time Devcich has scored 40+ in three consecutive T20 innings.
He scored four fifties in five T20 innings at the start of 2018 with an innings of 19 runs sandwiched between his half-centuries.
