Ardent CSK fan turns up with a unique tactic for his wedding

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is one of the most followed franchises in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL). The MS Dhoni-captained team has won the tournament as many as three times. This year, they rolled over Kane Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final to equal Mumbai Indians (MI) as the franchise with the most number of championship victories.

Irrespective of the venues, their fans have swarmed the stands and there has been no death of support for the Super Kings. Supporters have also been seen altering their shirts whenever Dhoni, who has led the team since the inaugural season, came to bat. Unfortunately, they could play only one match in Chennai, but it couldn’t fizzle out the enthusiasm from the supporters.

I wanted to come up with something unique

Recently, an ardent fanatic by the name of K Vinod took his support to a whole new level altogether and designed his wedding card in the form of a match ticket. In the teams’ name, ‘Chennai Super King’ and ‘Chennai Super Queen’ were written, something which signified the groom and the bride, G.N Sandhana, respectively.

“Being a super fan of MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings, I wanted to come up with something unique as my wedding invite. I spoke to a friend who is a graphic designer by profession and also a CSK fan, we zeroed in on this,” Vinod was quoted as saying in CSK’s official website.

Vinod has featured in many fan videos for the franchise and also got an autographed bat from Dhoni. “CSK officials surprised me in 2015 when they called out my name, at the conclusion of our last home game and I was presented with the bat signed by Dhoni,” he added.

Recently, CSK posted the photo of the wedding card in their official Twitter handle and also wished Vinod for a happy married life.
