The left-arm pacer Sam Curran troubled the visitors at Edgbaston last week. He scalped 4 wickets in the first innings which opened up the game and was a constant threat to the batsmen during the second innings as well. The Indian captain Virat Kohli played him well but not before missing a few. He doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned before the Lord’s Test and is facing the left-arm fast bowling of Arjun Tendulkar in the nets.

This is not the first time that a certain left-arm pacer has troubled the Indian team and the skipper is very clear in his mind it seems going into the second Test. Despite the fact that Kohli was the best batsman in the match, he is not ready to let go of the threat of the youngster who was also the Man of the Match.

A video of Virat Kohli facing Arjun Tendulkar is going viral thanks to Xtra time. They uploaded a video on Youtube on Tuesday in which it could be seen that the son of Sachin Tendulkar charges in full tilt towards the batsman and delivers a decent delivery even as the others are watching him. This practice though should help the visitors as they will be better prepared to face Curran in the next few days.

Who will bat well apart from Kohli?

Team India will need Virat Kohli to continue playing well for the rest of the series. But the other batsmen should sep up somehow and support their captain. The likes of Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane have to bring their ‘A’ game to the fore like they did in 2014 which will boost India’s chances of winning the Test match at Lord’s. The bowlers, however, look capable of picking 20 wickets once again and should stay fit as the series progresses.
