Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s 18-year-old cricketer son Arjun Tendulkar is in news again. The left-hand fast bowler, who recently made his U19 debut for India in Youth Test against Sri Lanka, is currently in England. He was spotted at Lord’s on Saturday, August 11, while he was busy taking a power nap in the middle of the ongoing second Test.

Arjun who was seen bowling to the Indian batsmen at the nets and also sharing the work with the Lord’s ground staff to cover the pitch when rain intervened in the Test, caught the attention of the social media during his latest act of taking a nap. He was seen lying just outside the boundary line behind the advertising boards reactions started pouring in for Tendulkar junior.

One user even comparing him with ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni who famously chose to take a power nap on the ground during the third ODI between India and Sri Lanka at Pallekele last year as the match stood paused because of the misbehaviour of the fans.

Tendulkar’s multitasking in England was also reaffirmed by his act of selling digital radios outside the venue of the second Test on Saturday which earned praise from Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh who is commentating for the five-match Test series. Earlier, he was also spotted with English woman cricketer Danielle Wyatt at an eatery.

As far as the proceedings of the match are concerned Team India was pushed to the corner in the second Test as the hosts scored at a brisk rate on Day 3 of the rain-hit game. England took a robust 250-run lead over the visitors after bundling them for 107 on Day 2.

For England, all-rounder Chris Woakes hit a century while Jonny Bairstow fell just seven runs short of what could have been another magnificent ton. England won the first Test in Birmingham by 31 runs and look favourites to increase their lead unless India produce a miracle or a weather intervention saves it for Virat Kohli’s men.
