Arshi Khan is back in the news for defaming Shahid Afridi

No matter how his career progressed, Shahid Afridi has always remained one of the most respected and iconic figures of Pakistani cricket. After hanging his boots from all formats of the game, the former Pakistan skipper has been participating regularly in T20 events across the globe. But much to his disappointment, he has been dragged into some nonsensical news yet again.

Arshi Khan, popularly remembered for that controversial tweet she posted in 2015, where she claimed to have slept with Afridi, is back with some nefarious comments. Arshi, who hails from Bhopal, is currently participating in reality show Big Boss. Well, she is back again to take a dig at the former Pakistani cricketer.

A tweet that embarked the controversy

Digging a little deeper, she posted a tweet mentioning she got involved in an intimate relationship with Afridi. That really took the cricketing fraternity by a storm. After completing her stint at Big Boss, she re-ignited the topic stating that she never got pregnant with Afridi’s baby by posting a video. She also claimed to have taken tests which eventually suggested that she had some hormonal issues.

“Did I ever say I was pregnant with Afridi’s baby? Actually, to set matters straight, it was a false alarm. A proper test has confirmed now, that I am not pregnant,” she had said.“Even I was shocked and surprised because I had not made out for a long time, yet I skipped my periods for two months in a row and when I just ran an OTC (over the counter) test, it came out positive. So, I was scared like hell. But a detailed test showed that I just had some hormonal issues.”

She also altered the lyrics of the famous song from Salman Khan’s Dabang, “Munni Badnam Hui” and sang “Arshi Badnaam hui Afridi tere liye (Arshi is maligned because of Afridi).”

“India bolta hain Pakistan jao, Pakistan bolta hain idhar aao, ab mujhe apnaega kaun,(India says go to Pakistan, Pakistan says to stay here. Who will accept me now),” she added. Here’s the video where she made all the hypothetical claims.
