Preview

After the 4th Ashes Test, the Englishmen have lost their chance to regain the urn. Currently, they are lagging by 2-1 and now they have only one chance to draw the series by winning the last showdown at the Oval. Australia successfully turned the tables towards them after a huge disappointment at the Headingley.

England has lost their chance to regain the Ashes despite playing at home and now they will look to topple the Kangaroos in the final face-off. They have brought back Sam Curran and Chris Woakes at the expense of Craig Overton and Jason Roy. Steve Smith has severely dominated in this series with the bat and the bowlers are yet to find a way to get him out early.

Weather Report

The weather for the Test looks appropriate with no forecast of rain to come as a roadblock during the match in the upcoming 5 days. The temperature is expected to be within 22 to 25 Degree Celsius which is nominal as far as cricket is concerned. The clouds and sun will remain in a tussle to outclass each other during the match.

Pitch Conditions

The Oval pitch is quite good to bat on. It’s got a little bit more carry, pace, and bounce than the normal wicket. If the England vs India game is considered at the venue last year, it was a featherbed for the batsmen. And if the conditions remain dry, the reverse swing could come into play.

Average first innings score: 328 (Last five Tests at the venue)

Average second innings score: 329 (Last five Tests at the venue)

Average third innings score: 274 (Last five Tests at the venue)

Expert Advice

If Stokes plays as a specialist batsman, it would be a wise decision not to pick him as he eats 11 credits. You can opt for Labuschagne in the all-rounders’ category and pick an extra bowler instead.

With 16 points for a wicket, now you can make a bowler C or VC in Tests as well.

Probable Winners

Australia are expected to win the final Test match and seal the series by 3-1.
