Scott Styris is one of the most loved commentators going around for his humorous replies and his analysis of the game is quite superb as well. Rajasthan Royals had listed a set of goals for 2022 which included moving up in Scott Styris’s prediction rankings for franchises. The New Zealander had prepared the power rankings for franchises ahead of the 2021 IPL season in which Rajasthan Royals were predicted to be at eighth, the bottom-most of the points table.
His predictions did come true to a certain extent with Rajasthan Royals finishing seventh in the points table for IPL 2021. Rajasthan Royals had also stated their hunger to win the IPL title in 2022 as their last one came way back in the inaugural season of 2008. Their mega auction plans have to be really good in 2022 as they have relied far too much on overseas contingent.
Scott Styris Comes Up With A Humorous reply
Scott Styris saw the funny side of Rajasthan Royals 2022 targets and came up with a reply – “At least make them realistic.” He replied to the Rajasthan Royals official account on Twitter. This is certainly, not the first time that Scott Styris had shown his humor sense, and the Twitter world was enlightened by the tweet. Despite all those said, Rajasthan Royals is expected to feel the heat after missing out on playoffs for three continuous seasons.

Rajasthan Royals picked up just 10 points in the IPL 2021 season and their new skipper Sanju Samson still has a lot to offer. They have managed to retain Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler ahead of the mega auction while uncapped player Yashashvi Jaiswal has also been given the nod. Appointing Kumar Sangakkara as the director of operations for the franchise will definitely do a world of good in the upcoming seasons.
Royals had some interesting options available for retention with Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer in the reckonings. Both these cricketers will go for huge money in the auction and it is going to be tough to buy them back. For Rajasthan Royals to come good, they will need to invest in a strong Indian contingent and have to get some experience under their belt as well.
