Australia cricket broadcaster Adam Collins reached home safely after surviving a horrific car crash in Lahore, Pakistan. Collins is a cricket broadcaster and journalist who was in Pakistan to cover Australia’s tour. The incident took place when Collins was on his way to the Lahore Airport, to travel back to his home country.

The car driver had to undergo surgery that lasted for six long hours. Collins in his recent tweet mentioned about the accident and signified that the driver was in a stable condition now. He stressed upon the crash, calling it awful and said that he wouldn’t have survived the crash if he didn’t have his seatbelt on.

While his driver sustained some serious injuries after being pinned in the debris, Collins suffered injuries to his chest and abdomen.

Collins has reached back home safely, and is with his family currently

Adam Collins was being driven to the airport at midnight when his car collided with a stationary truck. The impact was huge as the crash happened at the speed of 100 kph, and as a result, both the vehicles went descending the road rapidly.

While speaking to The Australian, he mentioned that he was thankful that he had his seatbelt on, due to which he was able to come out of the terrific crash. “The only reason I’m still in one piece after hitting the truck at the speed we did is because I had my seatbelt on,” he said.

“It’s a miracle Rehman survived but I’m devastated that he’s sustained serious injuries. Of course, I hope with all my heart that he pulls through to make a full recovery. Watching so many people come together to free him from the wreckage reflects the community spirit we saw everywhere in our month touring Pakistan. Horrible as the accident was, I still can’t wait to return to this wonderful country,” he added.

Collins’ driver is expected to stay at the hospital for the next one month in order to complete his recovery process. Meanwhile, the commentator has reached London and is unified with his family.
