As far as India’s matches against Australia are concerned, there’s no shortage of entertainment. Apart from some jaw-dropping competition between both bat and ball, some verbal altercations time and again also spice up their rivalry. India have done well in limited-overs cricket in Australia, but don’t have an overwhelming Test record in the country by any means.

The hosts won’t be having the services of David Warner and Steve Smith in the upcoming series’ and hence India are speculated to go into the series with the upper hand. Nevertheless, there will be external factors, which may turn out to be detrimental to their journey Down Under. In our article, we take a look at some elements from which the visitors need to be careful of.

Media

The Aussie media is a brutal one and even they don’t leave any stone unturned in getting under the skins of the visiting teams. The same is in order to ruffle the feathers of the opposition players and divert their focus from the cricket pitch. Australia won’t be full-strength by any stretch of the imagination and their media would be fully aware of the same.

They would be trying their hearts out to divert India’s focus from the field of play. This is exactly where the Indian cricketers need to play smart and not put much heed to the talks circulated by the media. Rather, they should devote their full energy and concentration to the cricket they play. In the end, all would come down to how the players perform in the middle.
