Former Pakistani cricketer Azhar Mahmood joined the long list of admirers of the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. Mahmood took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his admiration for the Indian captain. He looked absolutely amazed at the way Kohli has been smashing records at will at the highest level of the game.

Virat Kohli has been in a tremendous run of form across the three formats of the game. When it comes to the ODI cricket, his form takes a whole new level altogether. Needless to concede, this seems to his preferred format of play in international cricket. During the recent ODI against the touring Windies, Kohli notched up his 37th ODI ton.

He is next to only Sachin Tendulkar in the list of cricketers with most ODI tons. The rate at which he is going at the moment, it will not be surprising to see Kohli breach the herculean record sometime soon. The unbeaten 157 in the second ODI against the Windies was also his second ton of the series in as many number of matches.

Also, Kohli raced past the 10000 run mark in ODI cricket, becoming the fastest to reach the coveted milestone. Kohli took just 205 innings to scale the 10k mark. It is worth noting that he took only 11 innings for crossing 10000 run mark from the 9000 run mark. Praising the efforts of Virat Kohli, Azhar Mahmood sighed at the greatness that Virat is reaching. He congratulated Kohli for his achievement and looked happy for the Indian captain.

Here is what Azhar Mahmood had to say:

“Yet another milestone from @imVkohli what a player ! Breaking records and making new ones. Well done bro,” Azhar Mahmood wrote in his tweet.

Kohli’s exceptional run of form has helped team India extend their dominion in world cricket. He already has over 1000 runs in ODI cricket in the calendar year of 2018. Earlier in the year, he had smacked three tons on the tour of South Africa as well. Now, playing his first ODI series at home this year, he has already notched two centuries.
