A good batting display from Bangladesh on the final day stands between Sri Lankan win and a draw in the first Test at Chittagong as the home team lost three wickets for 83 in their 2nd innings. Sri Lankan batsmen made merry of the conditions to post a mammoth total of 713/9 and take a 200-run first inning lead. A total of 1226 runs were aggregated in the first two innings of this Test which is a record in Bangladesh. The home side will need to bring out their ‘A’ game to escape a defeat after they lost both their openers and Mushfiqur Rahim.
