After two entertaining games where the fortunes were playing a see-saw battle, Bangladesh will be battling their Caribbean visitors in Sylhet to clinch the series. Both sides played some exceptional, riveting and mind-boggling cricket which sets the stage brilliantly for the final encounter.

Shai Hope hammered a sensational hundred to help the Windies get over the line previously and the Tigers are keen to solve their opening issues. They have a problem of plenty, which is always good for a captain, but to find a settled pair is of utmost importance going into the World Cup.

Windies on the other side, don’t have many players in the side with great recent form. Apart from Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer, no other player has been doing consistently well. Despite all these concerns, a win in the last match will definitely play a big role in boosting their morale.

Playing Combinations

Bangladesh

Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das will be opening the innings with Imrul Kayes coming in at number three for the hosts. The assured presence of Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmadullah will be a facet they’ll be banking on. Mashrafe Mortaza will be leading the bowling attack with two other quicks in Mustafizur and Saifuddin. Shakib and Mehidy Hasan will be their spinning options.

Predicted XI

Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Imrul Kayes, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar, Mashrafe Mortaza (C), Mehidy Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin

Windies

The misfiring Chandrapaul Hemraj and Shai Hope will continue to open. Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels have great experience of excelling in the Asian conditions and their tussle alongside Shimron Hetmyer against the spinners will be a game-deciding factor. Oshane Thomas, Keemo Paul, and Kemar Roach will be the quick bowling options with Roston Chase and Devendra Bishoo handling the spin department.

Predicted XI

Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shai Hope (wk), Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell (C), Roston Chase, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach, Devendra Bishoo, Oshane Thomas

Focus will be on

Imrul Kayes- Bangladesh

A prime candidate to take the opening slot alongside Tamim Iqbal in the World Cup, Imrul Kayes has a testing time ahead. The southpaw has done tremendously well in the Asia Cup and can also bat well at number 3. If he can stitch a few more good performances beginning from this ODI, he will be on his way to becoming a crucial player in the World Cup setup.

Oshane Thomas- Windies

Tall and well-built Oshane Thomas has a perfect physique for a Windies fast bowler. His pace can be threatening even on flat tracks and the 21-year-old has already picked up four wickets in the two games. If he can send the top order packing home soon, Windies will be right on top in the contest.

Stat Attack

1 – This will be the first ODI game to be played at Sylhet.
