The Australian domestic T20 competition is one of the most followed cricketing leagues around the world. The Big Bash League (BBL), commencing from the 19th of December brings for the fans another set of entertainment at the stroke of the T20 season. Except for India, almost all the cricketing nation’s T20 specialists will line up to be part of the extravaganza.

The Indian cricketing team, over the years, have produced players of flawless talent. They have been fostering the players who are capable of winning not only the home games but also possessing the ability to dominate teams abroad. However, they are deprived by the BCCI of playing in any foreign cricketing leagues due to heavy workload throughout the year of various players. However, their seasonal players who don’t play all the three formats can become the face of any franchise and can draw a huge fan base in other T20 leagues as well.

Here we take a look at five such players who can play the BBL if allowed:

5. Khaleel Ahmed

The 21-year old broke into the Indian team in the month of September this year. He was chosen for the Asia Cup and made his debut against Hong Kong. Having taken three wickets in his first international appearance, Ahmed showed tremendous promise to spearhead the pace attack in the future.

The left-arm pacer bowled a tidy spell in his T20I debut against the Windies, taking a wicket and conceding a miserly 16 runs in four overs. Khaleel has the ability to bowl fiery spells along with creating a line across the batsmen, which makes him one of the challenging bowlers to play.

He had a forgettable outing in the solitary match he played in the IPL 2018, nevertheless, was quick to bounce back, resulting in him performing much better at the international level. He can only get better with more experience and can be a good addition to any franchise in the BBL.
