BBL 2019-20: James Pattinson takes an amazing 'crowd catch' with his batting gloves

Big Bash League 2019-20 is in its full swing and teams are trying their best to get their birth reserved in the playoffs. This season of the T20 tournament was no less than a roller coaster ride for the fans as well as for the cricketing fraternity. The players have so far given astonishing performances during the games. Moreover, there is no doubt about the fact that the fielding level has been of the optimum class.

The same was witnessed in a game between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat when James Pattinson took an amazing catch standing in his dugout. It is a regular site for the fans to watch wicketkeeper taking catches with their gloves on but the Aussie international took it wearing his batting gloves.

Brisbane Heat came face to face against Melbourne Renegades in a BBL game at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. Heat elected to bat after winning the toss and they got off to a poor start as they lost their opener Sam Heazlett in the second over of the innings. The other opener Ben Cutting muscled 27 runs off 11 balls but he failed to convert it into a big knock for his side.

The previous game hero AB de Villiers and Heat skipper Chris Lynn were also dismissed in the early phase of the match that left Heat struggling for a score of 65 runs for a loss of four wickets. Later on, Matt Renshaw played an amazing knock of 65 runs off 47 balls with three boundaries and four sixes. He successfully rescued his team from the early setbacks on the back of his swashbuckling knock. Marnus Labuschagne also played an important 28 runs in the crucial encounter from the perspective of Brisbane Heat.

The incident happened during the 17th over of the innings, Renshaw, the left-handed batsman went for a big six over deep mid-wicket off Cameron Boyce. Meanwhile, James Pattinson, who was fully kit-up with his pads and gloves on, took an amazing ‘crowd catch’ in the dugout. He also received applauds from his teammates and fans for the same in the dugout.
