Perth Scorchers started the New Year with a big victory over the Brisbane Heat after suffering back to back losses in the last week of 2019. On a slow track at the Carrara Oval, the Scorchers finished on 149/6 with help of a fifty from Cameron Bancroft. The Brisbane team couldn’t get going on the tricky track as they were seven down by the end of 11th over with just 51 runs on the board. Zahir Khan (19*) and Ben Laughlin (17), batting at No.11 and No.10 respectively, helped Brisbane to reach 109.
