The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will felicitate the Indian captains who have captained the team in the past in the iconic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. While the felicitation comes as a much-needed honor for those who have served the country in the captaincy role, this will also be Team India’s 500th Test match.
They will host New Zealand in what will be their 500th Test match with the Board looking to do their utmost to make it a festive and important occasion. The Green Park, Chepauk, the Wankhede Stadium, and the Eden Gardens will provide platforms for the subsequent captains in the series.
Rajiv Shukla, the chairman of the Indian Premier League went on to confirm the same. “The BCCI wants to felicitate all the former captains during the Test match. Green Park is one of the first four Test venues in India along with Chepauk, Wankhede, and Eden Gardens. It will be a fitting tribute to all those former captains who could be present on the occasion.”

Shukla affirmed, “The BCCI is making all arrangements. The BCCI along with UPCA will also be hosting a dinner for the Indian captains where both India and New Zealand teams will be present.”
Shukla further said, “Every day, there will be 2000 under-privileged school children who would be watching their favorite stars in action. We have also made arrangements for physically challenged persons and kids from the orphanage who would be attending the Test match.”
The Indians will take on the Kiwis in the first Test of the three-match series at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
