BCCI invites applications for the position of national selectors

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the position of national selectors for the senior and junior Indian men’s teams and senior women’s team. A total of nine positions are open with two each for Senior and Junior Men’s, while five positions are vacant for senior Women’s selectors’ post.

The common criteria for the applicants is that they should’ve retired from the game at least five years ago. To apply for the Senior Men’s selectors post, the applicant should’ve played 7 Test matches or 30 First-class matches or 10 ODIs and 20 FC matches as well.

The criteria to apply for the Women’s selectors position is that the applicant must have represented India Women’s cricket team while for the applicant is expected to have played 25 first-class matches to apply for Junior Men’s selectors’ position. The deadline to submit the applications is January 24, 2020 until 11.59 PM.

The BCCI invites applications for the below-mentioned positions.

1)     National Selectors (Senior Men) – 2 positions

2)     National Selectors (Senior Women) – 5 positions

3)     National Selectors (Junior Men) – 2 positions

Candidates who wish to apply for the stated positions need to fulfil the following criteria for their applications to be considered.

Senior Men

• Should have played 7 Test matches OR
• 30 first-class matches OR
• 10 ODIs and 20 first-class matches
• Should have retired from the game at least 5 years ago

Senior Women

• Should have represented the Indian Women’s Cricket Team
• Should have retired from the game at least 5 years ago

• Should have retired from the game at least 5 years ago
