Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s abilities as a cricketer and his cool as a cucumber attitude have earned him a staggering fan base not only in India but all over the country. Apart from his home city of Ranchi, if there is any other city which considers the legendary captain as their own son, it is Chennai. The valiant warrior served as the skipper of the Chennai Super Kings for 8 long years which include 2 victorious campaigns and several final matches.

Chennai has always greeted the shrewd leader with immense love and respect. And Dhoni has returned the love with mind-boggling performances and frequent visits to the city. He also made his presence felt at the inaugural ceremony of the Tamil Nadu Premier League where he faced the bowling machine and smashed some towering sixes much to the entertainment of the crowd.

However, Dhoni returned to Chennai today as India locked horned with the Aussies in the limited overs format. Deciding to bat first, the Indians found themselves in turmoil up the order losing 4 wickets at a mere score of 64. It paved the way for the iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni to step down onto the field relatively early in the innings.
