The Committee of Administrators (CoA) was formed almost three years ago when monopoly hit hard to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Many of the BCCI administrators were found guilty in various kind of frauds related to money issues.
Hence, the Supreme Court introduced a Committee of Administrators to run the Indian cricket until a new transparent BCCI body is formed. When CoA was officially formed on 30th January 2017, there were four core members in that panel namely Vinod Rai, Ramachandra Guha, Vikaram Limaye and Diana Edulji.
Recently, the Supreme Court announced that within the next two days, both Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji should be paid Rs 3.62 crore for their continuous services towards CoA. This is a sweet reward for both the members for running the BCCI administration as well as implementing the Lodha Panel’s proposals.
The per-month salary of the CoA members is as follows: Rs 10 lac per month from February to December 2017, Rs 11 lac for the whole 2018 and Rs 12 lac per month from the start of the year to October in 2019. Ravi Thodge, who joined the CoA in February this year, will get paid from thereon. Both Vikram Limaye and Ramchandra Guha who left the committee midway will get paid for the respective duration of their serving period.
