Ben Stokes, the all-rounder from England has been rested from the ongoing T20 series against New Zealand after a hectic summer. Also, he is nicely enjoying his time off from the cricket with his family. Recently, the World Cup-winning all-rounder was involved in a friendly bet with his brother James and ended up losing it.

The 28-year-old was the main hero in England‘s triumph in World Cup 2019. It was his knock of unbeaten 84 that ended the final match on a tie. And, later on, in the proceedings, the hosts were titled as the champions. He also performed brilliantly in Ashes 2019 and emerged as the top scorer for the home team with 441 runs in 10 innings and also took eight wickets.

As per the bet, James had to face six deliveries of his brother Ben Stokes without getting dismissed. It was a tough task ahead for his brother. But, what happened towards the end of the bet shocked everyone along with Stokes. James faced all the deliveries successfully without getting out on anyone of them.

Stokes, who was born in Christchurch gave the information about the friendly tricast between him and his brother James through his Twitter handle, in which he wrote, “Today is the day!!! @stokes787 (my brother) made a bet with me on Friday….6 balls from me flat out and he reckons he won’t get out…Sydenham Cricket Club 5.30ish,@cardinalcricket.”

Later on, after the bet, Ben Stokes shared a video of him bowling the last delivery of the challenge. In the end, the all-rounder gave a tight hug to his brother for surviving in the nets without getting dismissed. After facing the defeat, in the next tweet, the 28-year-old  wrote, “I’ve herd from a very reliable source that he has been watching YouTube clips of Sir Alastair Cook all morning for some tips…I can’t wait.”
