Best XI of Bad Boys in cricket

Sledging, match-fixing, an altercation with the fans, even just taking a day off for fishing has cost players money and career.

If you thought Andrew Flintoff was a bad boy to play for England, Benjamin Stokes- only halfway into his international career seems one step further than Freddie. Of all of his controversies, the one which took on a cold night outside a bar in Bristol hurt his career the most.

A recorded video stormed the internet which showed Ben Stokes attacking two men with a strike rate of ‘15 punches per minute! He was temporarily relieved of cricket duties and had to miss out on the Ashes tour- where England took a 4-0 thrashing down under.

Stokes made his international debut in August 2011 and four months later in December, he was arrested for ‘obstructing the police’ in Durham. He was allegedly drunk when the incident took place. In 2013 he was sent back home from Australia with buddy Matt Coles for violating drinking and disciplinary rules.

The all-rounder had and still has anger management issues. After getting run-out against West Indies in 2014, he stroked down a locker in the dressing room which resulted in a fracture in his hand. His heated exchanges with Marlon Samuels, Virat Kohli and Sabbir Rahman and recently with a spectator in the Test against South Africa haven’t gone down well with the fans that look for ‘The Sports Personality of the year 2019’ as an inspiration.
