Opening the innings alongside Tamim will be Pakistan’s Imam-ul-Haq. Imam was one of the best performers with the bat in the Dubai Test against Australia. He scored 76 runs in the first innings and followed it up with a 48 in the second. With these two knocks, he played a crucial part in helping Pakistan set a huge target for Australia.

He sustained a finger injury while fielding on the final day of the game. In an attempt to dive for the ball, he undid his finger which has now forced him out of action from the Abu Dhabi Test. Imam needs to undergo a surgery and it will keep him out of the field for some time now.
