Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, is in the middle of a purple patch as far as his cricketing career is concerned. Recently, he became the fastest batsman to 10,000 ODI runs and en route the milestone, he surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who took 54 more innings than Virat to score those many runs. Recently, he played the ODI series against the Windies.

In the 50-overs fixtures, the Delhi-born cricketer scored three consecutive tons in Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Pune to become the first Indian and 10th overall to notch three successive tons in ODI cricket. In the series, Kohli also accomplished his 38th ODI ton to go with 24 Test tons. Even in the T20I format, he has 18 half-centuries to his name.

Virat comes up with something new

He was rested for the ongoing T20I series against Carlos Brathwaite’s team. Rohit Sharma was earlier appointed as the interim skipper of the team. However, he is set to be back in the national side in the tour of Australia later this month. India will start their campaign with a T20I at The Gabba in Brisbane under Virat’s leadership.

Virat is also expected to play a key role in India’s campaign during the 2019 50-overs World Cup in England and Wales. In the meantime, Virat is celebrating his 30th birthday today. Wishes have poured in from the cricketing fraternity as well as the supporters. Amidst the wonderful occasion, the Indian captain decided to launch his official application.

He shared a video and also provided the links of his application. Moreover, he expressed his gratitude to his supporters on the occasion of Diwali. He captioned the video and wrote, “Every year you guys send so much birthday love! Time for me to return the love with some added sweetener for Diwali.

Hope you guys enjoy this #whatitsreallylike #5thNovember,”
