Bollywood Star heaps praises on Kevin Pietersen

Kevin Pietersen is mostly renowned for his exploits with the willow on the cricket pitch. The Pietermaritzburg-born cricketer is currently representing the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He has scored 59 in four games thus far at an average of 19.67 with a top-score of 48 against Islamabad. However, apart from cricket, the cricketer also contributes in preserving wildlife across the world.

Recently, Pietersen has recently expressed his desire to work for the conservation of wild buffalo and hill myna in the state of Chhattisgarh in India. He met Chief Minister Raman Singh at his residence in Raipur to build awareness on the species which are on the verge of extinction. The English cricketer is also learned to be building a house near the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Lately, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty took to Twitter and appreciated the English cricketer for his love and dedication towards wildlife conversation. He took to Twitter and shared a picture of him along with Kevin Pietersen. Even the flamboyant cricketer had expressed his elation over joining hands with the Bollywood stars for the social cause.

KP’s controversial career

Kevin Pietersen forayed into international cricket as a swashbuckling batsman who preferred to dictate terms to the bowlers. Steadfastly, he became a vital cog in the English lineup in all formats of the game. He was a feared prospect for the bowlers and Pietersen used to take full toll. However, his career was also marred by controversies which eventually led to his expulsion from the national team.

He also lashed out at the England Cricket Board (ECB) for pulling the curtains down on his international career. However, despite not featuring for England, Pietersen has successfully continued to ply his trade in T20 leagues across the globe. Earlier this year, he has also iterated that he will hang his boots from cricket later this year. Kevin Pietersen is also a versatile commentator.
