A young boy from Kashmir has been charged with a case after he congratulated Pakistan after their win against India in the Champions Trophy final. Madhya Pradesh has engaged the young resident because they believe that the boy’s status a turmoil on social media platform Facebook.

What exactly happened:

As Pakistan laid their hands upon the Champions Trophy crown for the first time, Seh Mudasir, a resident of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir took to his Facebook account and wrote “I am a Kashmiri and I like Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad.”

Mudasir is a student of the Jiwaji University, Gwalior and is currently pursuing his post graduation in Botany. The guy who had rented a house in Gwalior, went home waiting for his final examination results, claimed the police.

The boy expressed his support for Pakistan after the match on June 18 but it was not taken lightly by Indian locals. His Facebook post soon turned into a brawl as the locals even went out searching for Musadir. The lad was also termed as anti-national as his post did not go down lightly with the rest.

A case against Musadir and another person had to be charged under Section 153 of IPC for on charges of “wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot”. Police also caught a person guilty of attacking Musadir and a case was filed against him too.

“Mudasir’s comment created tension and created a riot-like situation. He will be arrested when he comes to collect his degree. If he doesn’t come, a team will go to Shopian to arrest him.” said Gwalior (City) superintendent of police Shailendra Jadon.

Jadon went on to say “The minor also made provocative comments and has been apprehended. Police are also looking for another person who made provocative remarks.”

According to the police, Mudasir has been found of liking post saluting dead militant Burhan Wani. He also shared posts concerning Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Facebook. The police are trying to deal with the matter very alarmingly so that it does not influence or affect other Kashmiri students.
