Nasir Hossain’s troop will go into the match, brimming with confidence as they’ve already declared their dominance by registering emphatic victories in the first two games that they’ve played. Rajshahi Kings, on the other hand, will look to emerge from the toe-crushing defeat they faced against the Rangpur Riders and embark on winning ways by defeating the arguably strongest side in the tournament.
If you’re leading a team that has occupied the top of the points table from the very beginning, you’re bound to be a happy skipper. Nasir Hossain is most likely to keep his team combination the same, with the stoic pair of Upul Tharanga and Andre Fletcher opening the innings for their side. The middle-order can consist of Ross Whiteley, Sabbir Rahman, Hossain, Shuvagata Hom and Nurul Hasan.
Hossain, himself, will look to continue his superb run with the ball, aided in his exploits by Taijul Islam. The pace department will comprise Krishmar Santokie, Abul Hasan and Liam Plunkett to round up the team.
Predicted XI: Upul Tharanga, Andre Fletcher, Ross Whiteley, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain (C), Shuvagata Hom, Nurul Hasan (wk), Taijul Islam, Abul Hasan, Liam Plunkett, Krishmar Santokie
Rajshahi Kings will have to learn from their mistakes and fortify in both batting and bowling departments. Led by Darren Sammy, the team can find its opening pair in the Mominul Haque and Luke Wright. Having stitched a solid inning worth 47 runs in the previous match, Rony Talukdar will find himself in the 3rd spot, followed by Mushfiqur Rahim, James Franklin, Sammy and Samit Patel in the middle-order.
The pace attack can be spearheaded by Nihaduzzaman, Farhad Reza, and Kesrick Williams, who’ll look to curtail the run-flow towards the end of the opposition’s innings. Samit Patel and Mehidy Hasan will have to rise to the occasion and deliver with their spin attacks.
Predicted XI: Darren Sammy (C), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), James Franklin, Farhad Reza, Luke Wright, Samit Patel, Mominul Haque, Nihaduzzaman, Rony Talukdar, Mehidy Hasan, Kesrick Williams
The prediction is for Sylhet Sixers to emerge victorious in Tuesday’s clash.
