Bangladesh Premier League has hit the floors with its seventh edition. All the sides taking part in the tournament have been rechristened as the BCB has done away with the franchises this time. Dhaka Platoon are one of the most successful franchises of the BPL. Platoon have lifted the trophy thrice in six seasons and have ended up as runners-up twice. Sylhet Thunder have suffered defeat in both their opening matches of the tournament and are currently sitting at the second-last place in the points table. In their previous match against Rajshahi Royals, Thunder could only amass 91 runs on the board.

Skipper Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Mithun emerged as their best batsmen as they scored 20 runs each. An inefficient bowling force of Thunder failed to leave an impact as Royals chased down the target in 10.5 overs. Sylhet Thunder will be eager to register their first victory of the tournament.

Pitch and Conditions

Considering the recent form, Platoon will have an upper hand in both the departments. With no chances of rain, it is expected to be a perfect day for a cricket match. The temperature is expected to deviate around 28 degrees Celcius throughout the day according to Accuweather. There are no chances of rain whatsoever. The wicket is considered to favour the spinners. Hence, the team winning the toss will be looking forward to batting first on a spin-friendly wicket.
