The Chittagong Vikings haven’t had the best of campaigns at home in this edition’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). They lost both their matches in Chattogram against Rangpur Riders and Rajshahi Kings. Nevertheless, Mushfiqur Rahim’s men are at the second spot on the points table with six victories from nine matches. They are next scheduled to be up against the Comilla Victorians at the same venue.

The Vikings would be keen to end their two-match losing streak and find their feet back in the T20 tournament. The Victorians, on the other hand, must be high in confidence as they thumped cellar dwellers Khulna Titans by a significant 80 runs and therefore moved to the top of the points table. The Vikings came out trumps in their previous meeting and a cracker of an encounter is in the offing.

The pitch in Chattogram has turned out to be a belter and batsmen have been able to make hay. It goes without saying that the bowlers have been taken to the cleaners. However, the deck assisted the teams batting first in all three matches as chasing teams had to strain.
