'Can't wait to get started' - Prasidh Krishna expresses delight over maiden India call-up

Prasidh Krishna is probably experiencing the happiest moments of his life right now. The right-arm pacer earned his maiden national call-up, as he was named in the 18-member squad for the three-match ODI series against England.
Apart from Prasidh Krishna, some of the other cricketers who have also earned their maiden call-ups in the ODI format are Krunal Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. And now, Prasidh Krishna has opened up on wearing the blue jersey for his country.
Prasidh stated that it was a surreal feeling to play for his country, and added that it is a dream come true to represent his nation. Adding that he cannot wait to get started, the right arm pacer concluded by stating that he is ready to contribute to the success of the Indian team.

Prasidh Krishna was impressive during the Vijay Hazare Trophy
In the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy, Prasidh was impressive with the ball. In the 7 matches that he played, the pacer scalped 14 wickets and picked them at an average of 22.21. In fact, he was the highest wicket-taker for the Karnataka side in the 2021 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and played a crucial role in his side reaching the semifinal stage of the competition.
Prasidh also offers his services to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 25-year-old has featured in 24 IPL matches and has picked up 18 wickets at a strike rate of 28.61. The ODI series between India and England will commence on 23rd March 2021. The second and third games will take place on 26th March and 28th March respectively.
India and England are currently involved in a five-match T20I series on Indian soil. The series is locked at 2-2, with the 5th and final T20I slated to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 20th March 2021.
