Champions Trophy has seen a lot of great players fail miserably. However, it has boosted some careers as well. There were players who have had a liking for the tournament. The tournament is actually not easy to perform as it is short and does not give you time to settle.

However, there have been some amazing performances over the years. These performances have seen the players make it big in international cricket. Since the inception of the Champions Trophy, there have been several players who have outperformed every other player to grab the Player of the Tournament award.

Today, we are going to look at each and every one of them since the Champions Trophy began in 1998. Here we go.

#1 Jacques Kallis (South Africa) – 1998

Jacques Kallis is one of the greatest players in the history of cricket. He is one of those rare all-rounders who has had a huge career with both bat and ball. However, it was this tournament that brought Jacques into the limelight. This being the only ICC Trophy of South Africa, it is even more special.

Jacques did what an all-rounder should do in that tournament. He was the highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 8 wickets and batted beautifully to score 164 runs at an average of 82 which included a century against the then World Champions Sri Lanka.
