Australia’s aggressive batsman Chris Lynn suffered yet another shoulder injury while he was playing the final of the tri-series against New Zealand. He fell awkwardly on his shoulder during a diving attempt to save a single. Lynn was in a lot of pain and had to eventually go out of the ground.

Lynn never returned to take part in the finals. Later it was revealed that his right shoulder was dislocated when the batsman went for the scans. Cricket Australia confirmed that the batsman will not travel to Dubai to take part in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Lynn’s manager has revealed that the batter will not have to undergo surgery for the injury during the final which he said that was a very positive news. “Chris got a positive result from the doctors who said he will not need surgery,” said Lyn’s manager.

Will be making every effort to play IPL

Stephen Atkinson, the manager of the T20 dasher Lynn, said that Lynn was disappointed to miss out the PSL but he will make every effort to make sure he is available for the IPL. Interestingly, Lynn was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in recently concluded IPL auction in Bangalore.

“Chris is disappointed at missing the Pakistan Super League but he will be making every effort to play in the Indian Premier League and, if selected, the five one-dayers for Australia in England in June,” Atkinson said.

Lynn’s relationship with the injuries an old one

This wasn’t the first time that the 27-year-old suffered an injury during the match. In last year’s IPL, Lynn got injured while attempting a catch on the boundary line. He had undergone a shoulder surgery last Australian winter and had missed a number of tournaments where he was a star player. He missed Caribbean Premier League as well as Bangladesh Premier League.

He returned in the Big Bash season after missing initial matches and with his superb performance was selected for the tri-series involving England and New Zealand. Australia won the final quite convincingly beating the Kiwis in the finals.
