Power hitting Aussie Chris Lynn will be the chief guest when Tamil Nadu Premier League side Madurai Super Giant launch their official kit for the season. The destructive right hander took to his official Twitter handle to announce his presence in the ceremony. Lynn, who was an integral part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad in the Indian Premier League earlier this year, also expressed his excitement for the event.

The Tamil Nadu Premier league will kick off on July 22nd and there are a lot of expectations from the tournament. The tournament which will be fought between 8 teams, will stretch to August 20 making it a one-month long battle.

Chris Lynn’s tweet read “Excited to launch @MSGteamofficial 2017 Playing Kit #Aattaikkureadya @dhayaalagiri @TNPremierLeague @StarSportsIndia”.

The Madurai super giant will sport a jersey with primary colour orange which has been combined with yellow and sea green. The jersey is quite different from their jersey last year which was dominated by blue and orange.

Lynn’s IPL campaign:

However, Chris Lynn’s presence in the kit revealing ceremony will make it a grand success. Chris Lynn took the iconic 10th edition of the Indian Premier League by storm from the very first match. The 27 year old Australian began his campaign by hammering a trailblazing 93 run inning against the Gujarat lions which made him one of the prospects to watch out for. But the batsman was unfortunate enough to pick up a shoulder injury on the field which created doubts over his availability for the rest of the tournament.

Lynn made a steady recovery and hammered two more 50 run stands against the RCB and the Kings XI Punjab respectively. He gelled brilliantly along with opener Sunil Narine who was being experimented at the spot. The West Indian turned out to be a massive success in the position and also bagged the record for the fastest IPL fifty along with Yusuf Pathan.
