Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has praised Pakistan captain Babar Azam for coming out to support Indian superstar Virat Kohli, who is going through a lean patch in the international arena. To note, Babar on July 15 (Friday) posted a Tweet in which he along with Kohli can be seen beside each other with Kohli having his arm on Babar’s shoulder.

Babar captioned the post as ‘This too shall pass. Stay Strong’ while mentioning Kohli in the post. Babar’s actions were hugely praised by the fans from both countries and now former England captain Michael Vaughan has also joined the list.

The former English batter retweeted Babar’s post writing the caption as ‘Class act Babar’.

Not only Babar, but Kohli has received support from several other players as well. Earlier England skipper Jos Buttler said, “I suppose in a little way it is quite refreshing for the rest of us that he (Kohli) is human and he can have a couple of low scores as well, but look he has been one of the best players if not the best to play ODI cricket in the world.”

“So, he has been a fantastic player for so many years, and all batters, it just proves, they go through runs of the form where they do not perform as well as they do sometimes, but certainly, as an opposition captain, you know a player of that class is always due, so you are hoping it does not come against us,” Buttler added.

Talking about Kohli’s form, the right-handed batter managed to score 16 runs off 25 balls as the Men in Blue lost the second ODI by a big margin of 100 runs. The right-handed batter did not play during the first ODI and could only manage to score just 12 runs in the two T20Is against the Three Lions. The right-handed batter will be looking to redeem himself in the third and final ODI match of the series to be played on June 17 (Sunday).
