Comilla Victorians and Rangpur Riders lock horns in Match No.2 on the opening day of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023 on January 6, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

Notably, the Victorians defeated Fortune Barishal by just one run in the final of last season to clinch their third BPL title. With six wins in ten matches, Comilla finished the league stage in the second position with ten points. They beat Barishal and Chattogram Challengers in Qualifier 1 and 2 respectively on their way to glory.
On the other hand, the Rangpur Riders won the trophy back in 2017. when they defeated Dhaka Dynamites in the summit clash. The team did not participate in the 2021/22 season as they were excluded from it.
Speaking about the Head-to-Head contests, Comilla have a slight advantage over Rangpur as they have won six out of the 11 matches played between the two sides in the previous editions
