India just registered an enthralling victory over England by an innings and 25 runs in the final Test match of the series to clear its way into the WTC finals. Though there were many match winners for India throughout the series, Rishabh Pant took his game to an entirely next level while pushing the team over the line. Pant has turned to be a consistent performer for India in whites over the last few months, and his stunning ton in the final match against England brought all the laurels home.

Apart from his prolific batting and gloves work, Pant is known to grab the limelight due to his epic stump mic commentary. His chatter behind the stumps has always been enjoyed by fans, and they wish to see it all the more. In the same reference, when the young batter came up for a chat with Harsha Bhogle after receiving the man of the match award, he gave a hilarious answer on his stump mic commentary.

Bhogle jokingly asked him that fans have been criticizing the real commentators and asking them to stay silent so they can enjoy more chatter by the 23-year-old. However, Pant had a terrific answer to this question and asked commentators to level up their work in turn.

“Ab sir yeh mera compliment hai ya thoda aapko problem ho raha hai toh aap improve karo [Sir, i don’t know if it’s a compliment for me or you all should improve a bit if you have a problem with it],” Pant replied.

Rishabh received the player of the match award for his scintillating ton that came under pressure situation. While India was down in the game, he built a robust partnership with Washington Sundar and pushed the team into a commanding position. It was quite visible that the young wicketkeeping-batsman has worked a lot of his gloves work too and was utmost active behind the wickets. He walked in the Test side as a replacement of Wriddhiman Saha in the Australia tour and has been shining thereafter.
