Comilla Victorians lock horns with Khulna Tigers in match no.27 in the ongoing ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. Both sides will meet again in the space of three days in match no.32 on January 31 at the very same venue.
Talking about the form of both teams, the Victorians have played seven matches in the competition so far with four wins and three losses. After losing their opening three fixtures, they have now won four on the bounce against Chattogram Challengers, Sylhet Strikers, and Dhaka Dominators (twice). With eight points and a net run rate of +0.423, they are placed third in the table.
On the other hand, the Tigers have also featured in six games in the tournament with just two victories and four losses to their name. Like Comilla, they also suffered defeats in their opening three encounters before sealing two wins against Rangpur Riders and the Challengers. Khulna lost yet another game against the Dominators in their last outing. With four points and an NRR of -0.210, they are positioned fifth in the table.
